This assignment is based on the case study of “Horizon Health” and the management's intention to analyse their current company situation and the market and explore Digital/AI technologies to meet their business goals, such as track client interactions, manage appointments, access operational guidelines, improving organisational performance and/or other business values, and to extend its brand presence.
Your tasks include:
• Part 1: Brainstorm and develop a mind map of the problem space to explore the problem space using the Business Analysis Core Concept Model (BACCM) that you learn in Topic 1. This is scheduled to be conducted in Week 1, A1.P1.
• Part 2: Conduct a situation analysis using the SWOT technique to examine Horizon Health’s situation in terms of S, W, O, and T, as well as develop two alternative technology strategies using the TOWS matrix technique. You are required to justify how your proposed technology strategies can improve the alignment between internal elements and external elements identified in the SWOT analysis and make and justify one strategy with associated recommendations. This is scheduled to be conducted in Week 2, A1.P2.
• Part 3: The executive managers of Horizon Health healthcare have made the decision to develop an analytics tool that will enable the service operational teams to query various data sets. This tool will provide access to information such as franchisees and their locations, appointments scheduling, clients and their interactions, workload on healthcare professionals etc. You are required to conduct a stakeholder analysis to identify relevant stakeholders, examine their needs, risks, and levels of influence vs importance in relation to the analytics tool development, and suggest a stakeholder engagement plan. This is scheduled to be conducted in Week 3, A1.P3.

At a time when digital and AI are disrupting value chains across industries, Horizon Health seeks to leverage digital solutions to improve operational effectiveness and service delivery. This report discusses the current business environment of this organization and analyses the role that could play to attain these goals. The analysis is then done systematically through the application of the Business Analysis Core Concept Model (BACCM) to describe the problem scope. SWOT offers the assessment of internal strengths and weaknesses of Horizon Health together with the opportunities and threats present in the external environment in creating the TOWS-based technology strategies. Moreover, a stakeholder analysis evaluates potential and active organisms involved with a new analytics tool to enhance the decision-making process when managing the client. The findings will assist in making strategic suggestions that correspond to the hypothesis that Horizon Health’s digital plans should correlate with total business objectives for market differentiation.

1. Need
Horizon Health needs a system upgrade in terms of tracking client interaction and appointments, as well as improving the functioning of the organization. Some of the challenges they face include data entry, multiple inconsistent scheduling methods, and rudimentary reporting. This leads to poor patient interaction, patients waiting long hours and an extensive amount of paperwork for clinical staff. Recommended Strategy: AI-Powered Appointment and Client Management System
It is seen that by adopting an AI-based appointment and client management system, Horizon Health can improve its operations. This system will incorporate artificial intelligence chatbots and voice interfaces for appointments and patient reminders, thus cutting time on managing client issues. There shall also be algorithms used to enhance the time and efficiency of the available resources (Jobe et al. 2024). Also, in terms of analytics, patients’ throughput and service requirements will be analyzed and managed in real time. Horizon Health should extend the integration of AI solutions to existing systems to increase efficiency, decrease errors, and improve patient’ satisfaction.
Justification for the Strategy
In the SWOT analysis of Horizon Health, there are some weaknesses and threats that the AI-powered appointment and client management system can address. Using the SWOT and TOWS plan, it was possible to determine strategies that would maximize strengths while responding to the threats present in the external environment as well as conquer weaknesses. These are helpful as the stakeholder engagement plan indicates that all the parties, from the executive managers to the healthcare professionals, are involved in the process. Through the use of Artificial Intelligence, real-time Analytics and Action to embrace regulatory compliance, Horizon Health can work, schedule and make intelligent decisions on the use of resources.
