Q1: In your own words, define “community”. List three (3) things that make a community; explain why.

A community involves people with related features in terms of their characteristics, preferences or geographical location. They build relationships regarding assistance and dependency, identification and coordination (Hajjar et al., 2020). The necessary factors which define a community as a group of people are belonging, interaction, and common identity. Common purpose links its members by providing them with goals to work, for instance, to enhance their neighbourhood. The social relations involve people in events within the local community, which increase unity and cooperation. Absolute emotions are important as they allow people to feel wanted, for the group provides security to the people in it. In this way, the mentioned elements establish a structure in which people can depend on each other, and deepen people’s unity and mutual support, which enhances social solidarity in the cloth of the society.

Q2: In your own words, define the role of a community worker. Give an example of a community worker's role and how they make an impact.
