INTRODUCTION

This study is an attempt to improve upon an already practised sport that has experienced declining participation rates in recent years: Aikido. The Japanese martial art of Aikido was created by Morihei Ueshiba in the year 1942 (Maruyama, 2017). The emphasis is on teamwork rather than the individual skills often shown in competitions. The creator of Aikido termed his concept as "the path of harmony," which forms the basis of the martial art. This is a year-round sport, so one may play whenever you choose. Due to its declining influence in comparison to other martial arts such as Jiu-Jitsu & MMA, it is chosen for inclusion in the study.

TARGET MARKET

Aikido is not limited to any gender that means it is a gender-neutral sports hence men, women, & children are welcome in the sports and each one of them will be a target market for the sport. The age ratio lies between 12 years to 35 years for each individual. Furthermore, the female population in Aikido is lower all over the world. As a result, the major goal would be to recruit younger generation especially female athletes to this activity. In particular, Asian markets, different ethnicity, and Black people will be part of the target audience (Gold, 2020).

CONCLUSION

Aikido is a highly effective kind of self-defence not only since it trains learners to protect themselves from a wide range of assaults, also because it improves the mental and physical health in the process. Aikido is more than simply a series of martial arts moves. An individual martial artist is considered superior to others when they achieve victory in a competitive setting. Aikido is a martial art (Budo) that emphasises the cultivation and regulation of Ki (or chi), a vital life force. In Japanese culture, the notion of ki (pronounced "chee") is basic and all-encompassing. It is often used in conjunction with those other kanji to convey ideas like as aggression, health, emotion, awareness, intuition, humour, irritation, and even fainting (Maruyama, 2017).
